Patti Cobb: Instructor in vocals, keyboards, guitar, bass, band coachPatti was raised in Southern California, but moved to the Bay Area at 17 and, except for a year of music studies in Vienna, Austria, has made her home here. She earned her BA degree in music at UC Berkeley, where she was immersed in Early Music, did stints singing with the UCB Collegium Musicum, San Francisco Chamber Singers and at Renaissance Faires, and then moved into the current century to play in rock and blues bands. Patti's musical background is varied and eclectic.
Bands Patti has been in over the last 16 years include Bad Plaid, The Sam Pointer Band, The Michael John Band, Boogieman, Blue Legacy, Boulevard Blonde Band, Black Widow, Lookin' For the Good, Rhythm Burning and Brazen Hussy & the Blue Hearts. She has also played on numerous occasions with her brother, noted Bay Area guitarist Chris Cobb, giving her the opportunity to play with many incredible musicians, including blues legend Ruth Brown. Patti's soulful vocals and hot keyboard licks have been featured on CDs by singer/songwriter Ted Czuk, bluesman Michael John and jam band Stony Point.
