The Bill Tripp Memorial Scholarship at YPI (New)

Benjamin; recipient of The Bill Tripp scholarship wrote the following when asked to explain what YPI means to him:

Music is what makes people happy; you need music in your life to feel alive. Not everybody has the gift of being around music, so they don’t know how it feels to have music in their life. Once people have music in their life, they know how it feels, joy! I have been with YPI since I was five and I feel that even though I already had music in my life, I was more interested and appreciative of all the different types of music when I was welcomed into YPI. YPI has let me open my mind and let me venture into the unknown and the joy of music.

Announcing the Albie Pratt Fund

Young Performers International is delighted to announce the founding of the Albie Pratt Fund. Created with a $10,000 gift from an anonymous donor, this fund honors a man whose life was characterized by a deep love of music and a great generosity of spirit.

The Fund's purpose is to provide talented, under-served children with the means to lift themselves out of poverty and ignorance through the documented benefits that the study of music can bring.

Albie cared deeply about helping others. In his private and courteous way, Albie mentored many young men and women who were making their way on their own in the business world. The Albie Pratt Fund honors those qualities that Albie embodied: a love of music and a dedication to helping young people succeed.

Our goal is to make this fund a permanent endowment. If music has touched your life, please consider contributing to the Albie Pratt fund. All contributions are tax deductible, and gifts of stock are welcome. Help us make Albie’s legacy of music and generosity live on for generations to come.
